How to Put Vinyl on a Candle | Dollar Store Craft
It’s Day 10 of my 12 Days of Christmas. Here’s a unique project – it’s how to put vinyl on a candle.
Now I’m not really a big candle person. They always look nice, but I seem to never remember to light them.
So when I found this fake LED candle at the dollar store, I knew that this was my kind of candle.
This fake candle feels like a real candle. I can scrape what seems to be wax off the side. However, the inside is a fake light and it is run by batteries. It even flickers like a real candle.

How to Add Vinyl to a Candle
I wanted to fancy up my candle a bit by adding a nativity scene. I previously did that on a subway tile and so I wanted to try putting vinyl on a candle.
Design your graphic and cut the vinyl. I use my Cricut Maker for this. For details on weeding and applying vinyl, check out my post, All About Adhesive Vinyl.
Now getting the vinyl to stick to the wax surface was a bit tricky. The edges wouldn’t stick. In order to help it, I warmed it ever so slightly with a hairdryer and was able to get it to stick.
I love how it looks while it flickers. This was an easy way to dress up a simple dollar store candle.
There are a couple more days left in my 12 Days of Christmas Crafts. Be sure to check back tomorrow.
