How to Add Vinyl to Galvanized Metal
Welcome to the first day of my 12 days of Christmas crafting! To kick things off I’d like to share with you how to add vinyl to galvanized metal.
This is a fun and easy craft to get started with, but the possibilities are endless.
Supplies Needed
- galvanized metal craft blank. These are often found in craft stores. They can be in the form of a tag, a sign or a Christmas tree ornament. I’ve even seen them at the dollar store!
- adhesive vinyl
- Cricut machine to cut the vinyl
It takes very little to make these great Christmas decorations.

How to Add Vinyl to Galvanized Metal
First, you will need to design your graphic and size it to fit your craft blank. It can be anything from a quote to a picture.
Once you have finalized your graphic, cut it out using your graphic. If you are new to working with adhesive vinyl, check out my post All About Adhesive Vinyl where I got through a step-by-step process.
Once cut, weed your design in preparation for applying.
Using transfer tape and a scraper, remove your vinyl design from the backing paper and apply it to the galvanized metal.
I really love the look of galvanized metal. It’s so easy to customize them using adhesive vinyl.
Be sure to check back over the next days for my 12 Days of Christmas Crafting where I’ll share a craft each day.
