How to Add an Accent Ribbon to a Ribbon Wreath
Looking for an embellishment to your ribbon wreath? Here’s how to add an accent ribbon to a ribbon wreath.
I’ve shared with you how to make a ribbon wreath. You can find that post here.
Once you have that base, you can add a contrasting ribbon to it.
How to Add an Accent Ribbon to a Ribbon Wreath
Add an accent ribbon in the same manner in which you made the wreath.
- From the backside, tuck a loop of the fabric through to the front.
- Add glue to the end of the ribbon.
- Wrap the ribbon around the frame to secure it.
Now that it is secure, push the loop to the front, so that it is like all the other loops in your wreath.
Working from the back, push the accent ribbon through the front throughout your work. Space it out as you see fit – you can either do a lot or just here and there. Since they are just loops pushed through, if you don’t like it, you can easily undo it and start over.
Once you get to the end, glue the end around the frame to secure.
Here’s my finished craft! I love how the buffalo plaid adds a nice little accent to my base wreath. It looks great as is, but I could also add more decorations. I love that the possibilities are endless.
