Black Friday Sales for Crafters

Sharing is caring!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!  We watched the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special last night – it was like a US history lesson! I know many of you will be enjoying a day with family and food.  After Thanksgiving, of course, marks one of the biggest sales of the year – Black Friday.  Here are my Black Friday Sales for Crafters.

This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience. If you make a purchase after clicking a link I may earn a small commission but it won’t cost you a penny more!

To my fellow Canadians – Black Friday sales are just beginning to have a presence here. Previously it was pretty much unheard of and now more and more I’m beginning to see Canadian retailers join in on this sale.

There are a number of Black Friday sales on Amazon – more so on the .com site than the .ca site. Black Friday sales on the .ca site just went live at 3pm PST and there are a few things. Those of us in Canada have been coping with rotating Canada Post strikes. If you haven’t already, I strongly encourage you to sign up for Amazon Prime where you get guaranteed delivery – either the same day, one day or 2 days (depending on the item). Most Amazon Prime deliveries are sourced out – my orders literally get delivered by an unmarked white van!

Amazon isn’t the only retailer with great Black Friday sales – I will note other places too.

I will be updating this page over the weekend as I find more great deals.

Black Friday Sales for Knitters and Crocheters

Check out Amazon’s price on the Clover Crochet hooks – I love the soft grip on these.

I use these Susan Bates Finishing Needles all the time – get this 2 pack. They do break and get lost easily. I keep some at home and some in my project on the go.

Hobby Lobby (US) has yarn on for 30% off.

Black Friday Sales for Crafters

I recently upgraded to a Cricut Maker and love it! Amazon has the best deal currently on the champagne coloured Cricut Maker

The Cricut website has all colours on sale – but for a little bit more. For an extra few dollars, you can get the rose of blue coloured Cricut Maker.

If the Explore Air 2 is more your thing – there is also a great deal on Amazon in various pretty colours.  It’s a few dollars more on the Cricut site – I notice that Black is already sold out, but the pretty raspberry colour is still available.

The Cricut website has free shipping for orders over $49 with the code: FREESHIP49

It’s always great to have extra Cricut mats on hand. I have a few green, standard grip mats that I rotate. There is a great deal on the 3 pack of Cricut mats on Amazon. The 3 pack of the pink fabric mats is also a good deal on Amazon. The Cricut website also has mats on sale. The long, 24-inch mats seem to be a better deal on the Cricut site. I’ll check again later to see if this is still the case.

The regular Cricut Easy Press is the same price on Amazon, as it is on the Cricut site.  The raspberry Easy Press series is also on sale – the same price on Amazon as it is on the Circut site as well.

I ordered this cutting ruler from Cricut to try out. I’m thinking it’ll be handy for cutting my big rolls of vinyl.

I thought this cutting knife with 5 extra blades was a good deal on the Cricut site.

I’ve been working on fabric banners for Christmas (stay tuned for this post to come). This Heat and Bond stuff is amazing. It’s so easy to cut on the Cricut and it fuses everything together easily. This seems to be a good deal on Amazon.

Working on some paper crafts?  Consider getting the Cricut Cuttlebug on sale on Amazon. This or the Sizzix Big Kick can do die cuts (sometimes easier than the Cricut – especially for intricate things) or embossing. The Sizzix website is also having a sale – the BIg Kick is the same price there and offers free shipping. I have the Big Kick and hope to share some papercrafts with you in the new year.

Reader Kim shared great deals happening at Personal Gifts Etc. Check them out for deals on vinyl and apparel. They even offer free shipping with a $25 purchase. Thanks, Kim!

Perhaps one of my favourite sales is the one at FontBundles. Fonts, graphics, photos, templates and more – all for $1! Click the banner below to enter the site. Hurry – limited number of items of each available.

More great fonts are on sale for $1 at Creative Fabrica, including I Love Glitter – a really popular font for signs and pillows.

Black Friday Sales for Sewers

Although I live in Canada, I’m close enough to the border that I can venture down to the US and love browsing through Joann’s. Joann’s is having an amazing fabric sale now – flannel fabrics are a great price. You’ve also seen me sew a few minky projects – great deals on minky fabric as well. Now I don’t know if these are the absolute best deals – but as a Canadian who only ventures down once in a while, I can tell you that those are better deals than what I can find locally.

Joann’s is also having a sale on burlap fabric – I’m working a lot with burlap this Christmas and this is a good deal.

On Amazon, my favourite, heavy-duty sewing scissors or shears are also on sale. It is the Gingher, 8-inch dressmaker shears. Good scissors are a must for working with fabric.

Did you know that the Cricut website carries 3×18 quilting rulers? They’re a good deal too and come in pretty colours too!

Cricut also has soft measuring tapes. I don’t know where you could find a good quality, soft measuring tape for this price. I have multiple soft measuring tapes everywhere – I’m always putting them down somewhere.

I love using rotary cutters. This Fiskars one on Amazon is a great price.

Black Friday Sales for Planners

Okay, so this isn’t exactly a planner, but I hear of a lot of people using the HP Sprocket to print photos for their planners. What a great way to personalize your planner.  Lots of cute colours too.

I do love a good bargain. Many of these items make great Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. It’s also a good chance to stock up on certain things or just try out new equipment and tools.
