Great Amazon Prime Day Deals for Crafters

Sharing is caring!

Amazon Prime Day is coming on Monday, July 16, 2018! That’s TOMORROW! I’m so excited – think of this as the Amazon version of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (which is something I’m also excited about and is also coming soon). Typically there are some great Amazon prime day deals – you don’t want to miss out.

This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience. If you make a purchase after clicking a link I may earn a small commission but it won’t cost you a penny more!

What is Amazon Prime?

Think of Amazon Prime as Amazon’s customer reward program. The trend, like it or not is moving towards online shopping – I’ve noticed that some of the bigger, box stores are looking rather empty. As many of you know, Amazon pretty much has everything from clothing to household appliances and of course, crafting materials! You can sign up for 30 days free – after that, you pay a monthly fee of $12.99USD a month or $119USD per year. This is for the amazon.com site. For those of us in Canada, it is $79CAD per year. In our defence, we have fewer shopping options here in Canada and our prices on Amazon are higher than the .com site.  This may seem like a lot, but if you order regularly, the savings in free shipping will soon add up and it will have paid for itself.

One of the biggest perks of Amazon Prime is free 2-day delivery. Who doesn’t love instant gratification??? For some items, it’s free one-day delivery and even same-day delivery! I love that I can get toner cartridges for my printer the same day that I order (as long as I order before a certain time). You’ll thank me on December 20th when you’re doing all that last-minute shopping.

There are some other perks in addition to the free delivery. These include access to Prime Video, Prime Reading and Prime Music. Some of these include small additional fees.

I joined Amazon Prime a year ago to be eligible for Amazon Prime Day and I can honestly say that considering the amount of shopping I do on Amazon, it’s definitely worth it.

Sign up for Amazon Prime here if you are in the US and here if you are in Canada. Did I mention that it’s FREE for the first 30 days??? So think of it as getting 13 months for that yearly fee of $119USD or $79CAD.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is an exclusive sale for Amazon Prime members. It is a 36-hour sale with more than a million deals. Amazon Prime Day is available in several countries around the world, including Australia, Singapore, Netherlands and Luxembourg join the US, UK, Spain, Mexico, Japan, India, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium and Austria. It’s been likened to Black Friday or Boxing Day sales, in July.

This year’s Amazon Prime Day is Monday, July 16, 2018, starting at 3 pm EST – that’s 12 noon for those of us on the West Coast.

How to Prepare for Amazon Prime Day

Get your ducks in a row before Amazon Prime Day! There are a couple of things you can do to get ready so that come Monday, July 16, 2018, you are ready to shop.

  1. Become an Amazon Prime member. Click on the link here if you are in the US. Click on the link here if you are in Canada. If you are reading from another country, simply go to your Amazon site to sign up.
  2. Download the Amazon app on to your smartphone. This way you can see the deals and shop on the go.
  3. I know I’ll be looking for particular items, hoping there will be a deal and so I’ve added them to my wishlist so that I can keep track. Pen and paper work just as well too!

Stay tuned as I will be updating this page with great Amazon Prime Day deals on the actual day. I will be posting deals for all sorts of crafting things. Keep hitting “refresh” as I will keep adding things throughout the day.
