How to Apply HTV on Toilet Paper
Who would’ve thought that HTV (heat transfer vinyl) could be so versatile? Here’s how to apply HTV on toilet paper.
We all know that HTV can go on fabric – I use it regularly to make shirts. My beginner’s guide to HTV is here.
You can even apply HTV to tulle fabric as seen by the tutu I made here. But did you know that you can even apply HTV on toilet paper?!?
These HTV on toilet paper gifts make great gag gifts, stocking stuffers and white elephant gifts. What do you get for the person who has everything? What do you get that co-worker in the gift exchange? Look no further than adding HTV on toilet paper. The procedure is actually quite easy.
Step by step directions on how to apply HTV on toilet paper
- Prepare your HTV graphic. As usual, mirror the image and cut it out shiny side down. On my Cricut Explore Air 2, I use the Iron-On + setting when working with Siser HTV.

- Weed the graphic so that you have the sticky carrier sheet still.
- Set your heat press to a low temperature – I did mine at 315 degrees.
- Apply the HTV to the toilet paper – I like to leave the seam at the back for a nicer, cleaner finish.
- Roll the toilet paper against the roof/top of the heat press.
- Remove the carrier sheet and you are done!
- If you are doing a second or third colour, simply repeat the process by layering the next colour on top.
It really is that easy to put HTV on toilet paper. They’re quick to do too. I pop my finished items into cellophane bags from Daiso. What a cute little gift this makes. I made some Christmas designs, but also have a few non-Christmas designs as well. I can see that these would be great for Father’s Day as well.
