The Summer Diamond Tank Top | Free Crochet Pattern
Hot off the heels and feeling inspired about garment design and construction from the Kenzie Kimono, I wanted to give it a try. It was time to design my first clothing item! This is the summer diamond tank top.

For the Kenzie Kimono, I had used Patons Silk Bamboo yarn and so I was familiar with it. I knew I wanted to use that as the basis of my first design. Here is an affiliate link for the yarn:
After seeing the Toddler Dress by One Dog Woof (found here), I thought it would make a great tank top for an adult. I used the same diamond concept but modified it into a tank top. I originally had wanted it to be more like a beach coverup – that`s why it looks a little long on me. But the Patons yarn was a bit too heavy for that and it would have been too warm. It did, however, turn out to be a nice tank top.

I`m so pleased with how it turned out. I have ideas for more garments – I find that choosing the right yarn is the most challenging. I hope to share other designs with you soon!
