Sometimes a little gift tag is not enough – you want to be able to write a short message. Sometimes a card is too big. So why not combine the two? I love this simple little Christmas gift tag card. It’s like a mini card for your gifts.
Supplies Needed
You can make a bunch of these in no time with the use of a die-cutting machine like a Cricut. Use my template on Cricut Design Space to make this cute little Christmas gift tag card that looks like a Christmas ornament.
You can access this design in my Free Resource Library. Simply sign up to receive newsletters from me and you’ll find the password at the bottom of every email.

In addition to the design, you will need the following:
- card stock
- Cricut Machine – I use the Cricut Maker. You will need the fine cut blade, as well as the scoring tool to make it easier to fold. The scoring tool isn’t crucial – you could fold by hand and use something like a ruler or bone folder, but it does make it easier.
- some sort of embellishments – other die cuts or small decorations. Check out the dollar store for some great little decorations and embellishments
- glue to adhere the embellishments
How to Make an Easy Christmas Gift Tag Card
Cut out the gift tag card. You’ll need to put in the scoring tool first and then replace it with the fine-cut blade.
Once your card is cut out, you can decorate the front.
If decorating with another die-cut, be careful of Cricut Access charging you for the designs. I made some of these last year and the snowflake design I used was free. Now they’ve changed things and there is a charge for the snowflake design. I didn’t want to pay this year so I used my Stampin Up die cutter to cut out this cute snowflake instead.
Simply glue the embellishments onto the front of the gift tag card. If it’s something simple like a cardstock die-cut, a glue stick will do. If it’s some sort of embellishment, you may wish to use a glue gun.
These little gift tag cards were so quick and easy to make. Having a Cricut is definitely really handy. They add a nice little touch to your Christmas gifts.
