I’m going to share some basic roller recipes with you. As mentioned in my other post, it can be quite overwhelming when you google roller recipes. Many are quite complex and most seemed to contain oils I do not have.
I prefer to keep things simple and so I’m going to share some recipes with you that use basic oils. I hope you find this helpful.
My Recommended 5 Essential Oils to Start With
Whether you are just starting out or have been using essential oils for years, there are definitely a few basics that are must-haves. Even if you only have these, you’ll be in good shape. You don’t necessarily need a whole bunch to get the benefits from essential oils.
Check out my post on Essential Oils to Get You Started to read more details about these choices.
Now I am in no way an expert. I’m lucky to have a good friend who works with doTerra who answers my constant questions. I also spend a lot of time researching and reading. When you do that, you’ll notice that certain essential oils come up over and over again.
With these 5 oils, you can do all sorts of things like create a calming atmosphere for stress relief, improve your mood, boost your immunity, and even clean your house! In other words, these are the 5 I highly recommend and would like to always have on hand. These 5 oils are so versatile.
Use this as a starting point. You can always add or supplement to this list. You can even substitute in personal favourites once you get to know essential oils more.
It is important to know that there is no one right answer. These 5 for me are not necessarily the top 5 for someone else. These are simply a suggestion from someone with limited knowledge. I like to keep things pretty simple.
Easy Essential Oil Roller Recipes to Get You Started
I created these 4 easy roller recipes to get you started. They are all based on the 5 essential oils to get you started. You don’t need to have a bunch of oils to do this!
Remember, there isn’t really a right or wrong way to do this. It’s all a matter of personal preference.
Here are 4 different recipes that cover a variety of needs.
- Immunity – this is to help boost your immune system. Roll this on the inside of your wrist or on the soles of your feet.
- Heal – use this for scrapes and cuts, as well as acne. Tea tree is great for killing bacteria, while lavender is soothing on the skin.
- Focus – need to get work done? Use this to perk you up and motivate you.
- Calm – need to calm down or get a good night’s sleep? This is a great blend for that.
You could also just use these recipes as a base and supplement them with other oils as you build up your collection. For instance, if you acquire Peppermint, that would be a great one to add to the Focus blend.
Remember that what works for me may not necessarily work for you. But personally, I know I would need somewhere to start and this is a good start. Feel free to branch out from here.
